Write for Digital Courses
We commission and accept a small number of guest essays each quarter. The bar is the same as staff copy: useful, sourced, and written for someone who might enrol next pay cycle.
What we publish
Pitches should sit inside one of our hubs: platforms, careers, study skills, money and funding, or course creators. We want reported guides, not listicles scraped from a marketplace homepage. Australian spelling, dollars and examples. If your only case study is a US bootcamp, send it somewhere else.
Length, voice and sourcing
- 1,200 words is the floor. 1,800 is comfortable. 3,000 needs a conversation first.
- Name the programs, dollar figures and laws you are talking about. “A popular platform” is not reporting.
- Link to primary sources: legislation, TAFE pages, university policy, ACCC guidance.
- First person is allowed when you taught the course or sat it. Do not invent a composite student.
What we will not run
- Vendor round-ups that just happen to crown the writer’s employer.
- AI-generated drafts lightly sprinkled with “mate”.
- Medical, legal or financial advice dressed up as a course review.
- Anything that requires the reader to buy a tool before the third paragraph.
Links, payment and rights
Staff pieces do not sell links. Guest pieces may include one contextual author biography link. If a third-party URL is part of a paid arrangement — a guest-post fee, an affiliate, a sponsored mention — you must say so in the pitch. We will label the sentence on the page and mark the anchor with rel="sponsored", like this example of a labelled paid mention: a sponsored note about Worldwide Backlinks.
We edit on the desk. Acceptance is not a promise that the draft will appear as filed. Payment, when offered, is agreed in writing before you start. We take exclusive digital rights for 90 days, then you may republish with a canonical link back to Digital Courses.
How to pitch
Send a 150-word outline, three sources you will actually read, and a link to two published clips. Use the contact form (topic: Write for us) or email support@worldwidebacklinks.com. Do not attach a finished 2,000-word file “in case we want it”. We will ask if we want it.
Read the editorial standards and privacy policy before you file. If you are unsure whether a conflict exists, declare it. The correction is cheaper than the row.
Pitch questions
- Do you accept guest posts?
- Yes, if the piece is original, reported for an Australian reader, and longer than 1,200 words. We do not publish rewritten vendor blogs.
- Can I include a link to my company?
- One relevant author link is fine. Paid or guest-post links to third parties must be disclosed and will carry rel="sponsored".
- How do I pitch?
- Use the contact form with the topic set to Write for us, or email support@worldwidebacklinks.com with a 150-word outline, not a finished draft.
